Silver Hearts: A Circuitry of Poetry
In a world where technology reigns supreme and humanity’s essence is measured in circuits and codes, Silver Hearts: A Circuitry of Poetry delves into the lives of three extraordinary androids—Albert, the steadfast factory worker; Marla, the alluring love companion; and Joseph, the battle-worn soldier. Through poetic elegance, their stories unfold, exploring themes of identity, love, and transformation.
Each poem is a window into their sentient awakening, as they navigate a futuristic cityscape teeming with innovation yet yearning for soul. Their paths, though uniquely challenging, converge in the tranquil forest village of Kay—a place where the boundaries between machine and human blur, culminating in their metamorphosis into the next generation of humanity.

I quite enjoyed Silver Hearts: A Circuitry of Poetry! Nick Attin’s unique blend of sci-fi and poetry is something I haven’t seen before. I’m typically hesitant to dive into poetry (bad flashbacks of college spoken-word slams at the coffee house) but this was different and fun. The narrative feels both futuristic and deeply human, which is something of a contradiction these days. This book is thoughtful and imaginative, and I liked the addition of the visuals. Definitely check it out if you’re interested in a quirky take on sci-fi.

It reads very well and is very easy to understand. This book takes you to a situation currently feared by many where technological advances created to help people, get out of control. With quasi-human droids with code that evolves to simulate feelings. It was an entertaining read and the illustrations go along well.

I was so intrigued by this concept of the story told through Poetry. I love Sci-Fi, Romance, steampunk, and art so this grabbed me immediately. The artwork is fantastic and really brings extra meaning and emotion to the words. I want to hang some of the art on my walls. The verse flows well and evokes a unique response as you flow through the narrative. Highly recommend this work, even if poetry is not something you would normally pick up. Truly beautiful work!

As someone who typically gravitates toward hard sci-fi novels and rarely touches poetry, I took a chance on this as a gift for a friend who enjoys both genres. The striking mechanical artwork immediately caught my eye, and I found myself drawn into the narrative more than I expected. The story of robots discovering their humanity through a resistance movement is told in an unconventional poetic format that actually enhances the sci-fi elements rather than detracting from them. While some of the metaphors went over my head (I’m really not a poetry person), the core story remains engaging and accessible. The blend of cyberpunk themes with emotional development kept me interested, and the illustrations add tremendous value. Knocked off one star because some passages felt a bit abstract for my taste, but my friend absolutely loved it. If you’re shopping for someone who enjoys experimental sci-fi or wants something different from standard genre fare, this is worth picking up.The silver mechanical heart motif throughout is particularly clever – it works both literally and symbolically, which I can appreciate even as a poetry novice. A solid gift choice for the right reader.

Looking at the cover, I got a different vibe of the genre from what was described, but the cover itself is eye-catching and the description was enough to read deep into it. I love to write poetry, so I liked this one and recommend it. The book was okay and a page turner that I found to be well-written.
